The Government announced today (October 17) that the Chief Executive had re-appointed the following persons to the Standing Committee on Judicial Salaries and Conditions of Service (the Judicial Committee) by extending their current terms of service for a further period of one year until December 31, 2009:

Mr Herbert Tsoi Hak-kong
The Chief Executive has also appointed Professor Chan Yuk-shee and Mr Brian Li Man-bun as members of the Judicial Committee from October 13, 2008, to December 31, 2010.
The Judicial Committee is tasked to advise and make recommendations to the Chief Executive on matters concerning the salary and conditions of service of judicial officers.
