Hongkong Post announced today (October 10) that the Sheung Wan Post Office located at 1/F, Hong Kong Telecom CSL Tower, 322 Des Voeux Road Central, Hong Kong, would be temporarily closed for business from Monday, October 20, until December 2008 for major renovation works. The office will be reopened when the renovation works are completed. The date of resumption of operations will be announced in due course.
During the renovation period, customers may patronise the Queen¡¦s Road Post Office, which is located at Shop Nos. 2A and 2B, Entrance Hall Floor, The Center, 99 Queen¡¦s Road Central.
The existing Posting Box Service and Collection of Mail and Local Standing Order Service at Sheung Wan Post Office will remain in operation to serve customers during the renovation period. For the private franking machine, customers will be notified separately about the temporary service arrangements during the renovation period.
The Sheung Wan Post Office has been in operation in the present premises for 18 years. It is necessary to improve the general condition of the office in order to provide better customer service.
Hongkong Post regrets the inconvenience that might be caused by the renovation works and would appreciate understanding and co-operation from those affected. For further information about the renovation work, customers may call the Counter Services Customer Care hotline at 2525 5856.
