The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
In response to media enquiry, a spokesman of Tuen Mun Hospital gave the following reply today (22 September).
Tuen Mun Hospital received a suspected case of renal stone yesterday (21 September) which is associated with the consumption of melamine tainted milk products. The patient, a three-year-old boy, is in good condition and discharged following initial diagnosis. Appropriate tests have been arranged for the boy and pending for ultrasound investigation outcome.
