Labour Department holds job fair at Olympian City

     The Labour Department will hold a job fair at Central Atrium, G/F, Olympian City 2, on September 24 (Wednesday), providing more than 2,600 vacancies for job seekers.

     Twenty companies from the catering and property management industries will set up counters and offer 2,000 vacancies for on-the-spot recruitment. Vacancies offered cover a wide variety of positions such as shop supervisor, manager, officer, cook, waiter/waitress, shop assistant, security officer, security guard, customer service officer and so on. Job-seekers who want to know more about the vacancies may go to the department's webpage on Interactive Employment Service (www.jobs.gov.hk).

     About 85% of the vacancies offered are full-time jobs. The majority of the vacancies offer a monthly salary ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. Over 95% of these vacancies require Form 5 educational level or below. More than 70% of them are open to job seekers without relevant experience. Job seekers can submit applications on the spot and may be selected for on-site interviews.

     Panels will also be mounted to display around 600 vacancies solicited from 10 other companies. The Labour Department will conduct on-the-spot registration for job seekers.

     The job fair will be held from 11am to 6pm at Central Atrium, G/F, Olympian City 2, 18, Hoi Ting Road, West Kowloon. Admission is free.
