The Convenor of the Non-official Members of the Executive Council, Mr Leung Chun-ying, today (September 19) issued the following statement on Mrs Selina Chow's resignation from the Executive Council (ExCo):
"I and other non-official Members fully understand and respect the decision of Mrs Selina Chow to resign from the ExCo, which the Chief Executive accepted today. Mrs Chow has a long history of serving on the ExCo and the Legislative Council. She has also devoted much efforts in public service and has made great contributions. She has passion and ability and is wholly committed to serving the community. We have high respect for her. We hope that she will continue to serve the people of Hong Kong and wish her happiness in the years to come."
