Change in issue time of statistical data

The Census and Statistics Department announced today (September 19) that the time of issuing press releases of statistical data would be changed from 4.15pm to 4.30pm with effect from Monday (September 22).
The change is in line with the department's established practice of releasing statistical data after the close of major local securities and derivatives markets.
The date schedule for issuing regular releases of statistical data in 2008, which was announced on September 20 last year, remains unchanged.
