In response to media enquiries about a Hong Kong food supplier that might be connected with food poisoning cases in Macau, a spokesman for the Centre for Food and Safety said today (September 7), ˇ§We have made initial contacts with the supplier (Pearlwin Limited), and requested them to supply information on the quantity and distribution of the concerned oysters to facilitate the tracing of source and distribution outlets.
"The Centre has alerted the trade yesterday the concerned supplier's information, and advised them to contact the Centre if the concerned product is available. We appeal to traders to stop selling oysters supplied by the concerned supplier.ˇ¨
