The Broadcasting Authority (BA) notes that in July 2008 the Commissioner for Television and Entertainment Licensing (CTEL) dealt with 92 cases (301 complaints) under her delegated authority, of which six cases (six complaints) were classified as minor breaches, and 76 cases (261 complaints) as unsubstantiated, under section 11 of the Broadcasting Authority Ordinance (BAO). Ten cases (34 complaints) were outside the ambit of the BAO. The monthly complaint figures dealt with by the CTEL since January 2008 are shown in Figure 1. The nature of the unsubstantiated complaints in July 2008 is shown at Figure 2. Please refer to the BA website, www.hkba.hk, for details of the complaints.
