The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) today (August 29) through open tender invites the private sector to operate and manage the Sheung Shui Slaughterhouse (SSSH).
Interested parties both in and outside Hong Kong are welcome to submit tenders before noon on October 31.
The current SSSH Operation Services Agreement (OSA) will expire on July 31, 2009. The successful bidder will sign with the Government a new OSA, which will begin on August 1, 2009.
The new agreement will have an initial term of four years, with an option for the Government to offer no more than two three-year extensions, subject to the operator's satisfactory performance.
