Reminder to ticket holders of Mainland Olympic Gold Medallists' Sports Demonstrations and Gala Show
****************************************************

     To ensure smooth progress of the programmes, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) advises ticket holders of the Meet-the-Public cum Sports Demonstrations of the Mainland Olympic Gold Medallists this Saturday (August 30) to allow adequate time for security checking and to be seated at the venues before 10am, and those for the Gala Show to arrive at the Hong Kong Stadium by 5pm on the same day.

     Between 10.30am and 12noon this Saturday, the Mainland Olympic Gold Medallists delegation will stage sports demonstrations in four LCSD venues, namely Shek Kip Mei Park Sports Centre in Sham Shui Po (for table tennis), Kowloon Park Sports Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui (for badminton), Shing Mun Valley Swimming Pool in Tsuen Wan (for diving) and Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai (for gymnastics).

     Other than sports demonstrations, the programmes will include exchanges between the gold medallists and young Hong Kong athletes, and participation in sports-for-fun sessions (apart from diving) for which spectators will be selected by drawing lots.

     As there is a chance for spectators to join the sports-for-fun sessions, those interested in participating are advised to wear sports shoes and sports wear.

     Between 5.30pm and 7pm this Saturday, the delegation will meet the public at a Gala Show at the Hong Kong Stadium.  There will be free seating and admission will start at 3.30pm. Spectators are strongly advised to take public transport and avoid driving to the Hong Kong Stadium.

     Ticket holders attending the demonstrations and Gala Show are requested to observe the house rules set by the department. Some items which are prohibited in the venues are as follows:
- Any glassware or fragile articles;
- Any items which may create undue inconvenience to other participants or disturb the smooth progress of the events.

     Participants who violate the house rules will not be admitted or will be removed from the venues.
