Self-service kiosks for HKSAR passport applications
***************************************************

Applications for Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) passports can be made at self-service kiosks from August 25.

Theˇ§Easy Sendˇ¨self-service kiosks are installed at Immigration Headquarters and six Immigration branch offices. Eligible HKSAR passport applicants aged 18 or over may submit HKSAR passport applications at the ˇ§Easy Sendˇ¨ kiosks during office hours. However, applications for a replacement HKSAR passport due to loss or damage of passport should be made in person and not at the ˇ§Easy Sendˇ¨ kiosk.

When applying at the ˇ§Easy Sendˇ¨ kiosk, applicants must have a valid permanent identity card and a recent colour photograph with white background. Payment of the passport fee should be made by EPS with a bank card.  Information on photograph requirements and passport fees is available on the website, www.gov.hk/passport.

The self-service application process through the ˇ§Easy Sendˇ¨ kiosk takes about 10 minutes.  When the application is successfully submitted, the applicant can immediately get a collection notice from the kiosk specifying when and where to collect the new passport.

As well as the new self-service kiosk and Internet (www.gov.hk/passport) application services for eligible HKSAR passport applicants aged 18 or over, eligible applicants of any age may also apply in person, by post or via the drop-in box.
