The Returning Officer for the Agriculture and Fisheries functional constituency for the 2008 Legislative Council election has ruled that there is one validly nominated candidate in that constituency.
Information about the candidate for this constituency was gazetted today (August 15).
Together with this constituency, a total of 14 candidates in 12 functional constituencies will be returned to the Legislative Council uncontested.
These functional constituencies are Heung Yee Kuk; Agriculture and Fisheries; Labour; Real Estate and Construction; Commercial (Second); Industrial (First); Industrial (Second); Finance; Financial Services; Sports, Performing Arts, Culture and Publication; Import and Export; and Catering.
