A toy storage was severely damaged in a No. 3 alarm fire in Kwai Chung yesterday (August 14).
The toy storage, about 20 metres x 15 metres, was located on the eighth floor of Grand Industrial Building, 159-165 Wo Yi Hop Road, Kwai Chung.
The fire started at 4.36pm yesterday and was upgraded to No. 3 alarm at 4.57pm. It was finally put out by firemen at 11.31pm by mobilising seven jets, six breathing apparatus teams and 29 fire engines.
During the operation, three people were rescued from the building. There were three firemen feeling unwell and were sent to Princess Margaret Hospital. Two of them had already been discharged from the hospital after medical treatment.
Initial investigation found that no suspicious circumstances were detected regarding the cause of the fire.
