¡@¡@The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) today (August 13) advised people not to eat certain batches of crisps of Walkers Snack Foods Ltd due to the possible presence of black rubber pieces within the products.
¡@¡@According to United Kingdom authorities, the company concerned is recalling the affected products, details of which are as follows:
Walkers Crisps: 21-pack multipacks and 28-pack multipacks
On multipack wrapper:
Best before: 13 September 2008 or 20 September 2008
Coding: GBL 2** 182 (where ** can be any number)
Time coded: 02:00 to 06:00 inclusive
On individual packets:
Best before: 20 September 2008
Coding: GBL 2** 182 (where ** can be any number)
Time coded: 02:00 to 06:00 inclusive
Individual pack size: 25 grammes
Flavours implicated: Ready Salted, Cheese and Onion, Salt and Vinegar, Prawn Cocktail, Worcester Sauce and BBQ Rib.
¡@¡@"Retailers should also stop selling these particular products," a CFS spokesman said.
¡@¡@"The CFS has contacted UK authorities for further information. We have informed the trade of the incident and are closely monitoring the situation," he said.
