The Food and Environmental Hygiene Department today (July 31) lifted the closure order imposed earlier on "Tung Kee Seafood Restaurant" on ground floor, Nos. 98, 100 and 102 Man Nin Street, Sai Kung.
"The restaurant was closed on July 7, following reports of food poisoning cases related to it. The operator has taken remedial measures after the closure, including thorough cleaning, disinfection of the premises and improvements in workflow of food processing," a department spokesman said.
"During our latest inspection of the food premises concerned, we were satisfied that the immediate health hazards on the premises had been eliminated.
"We have also reminded the operator and staff members to observe good personal, environmental and food hygiene at all times.
"The Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene has therefore decided to rescind the closure order and allow the food premises to resume operation with immediate effect."
