The Education Bureau put a lot of emphasis on the quality of education, a spokesman for the bureau said today (July 31).
In view of the imminent release of the HKCEE results, the bureau reminded Secondary 5 graduates that in choosing sub-degree courses including associate degree and higher diploma courses, they should consider the quality of the institutions, the contents and entry requirements of the courses, as well as personal ability and interests. Their choice should not be affected by factors irrelevant to the quality of the courses.
The spokesman said, ¡§To facilitate students to obtain detailed information on sub-degree courses, the bureau has launched a dedicated website which provides comprehensive information on accredited self-financing sub-degree courses and the concerned institutions. The website seeks to help students choose quality assured courses.¡¨ The website address is www.ipass.gov.hk.
