The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, today (July 21) continued his visit to the three northeast provinces with a Hong Kong business delegation.
On the third day of the visit, the delegation attended the Hong Kong-Heilongjiang Business Cooperation Symposium in the morning. Addressing the symposium, Mr Tsang said that by the end of 2007, Hong Kong had invested in more than 2,800 projects in Heilongjiang and ranked first among investors in the province.
He also said that by the end of last year, 17 enterprises from Heilongjiang had invested in Hong Kong, with capital totalling more than US$22 million.
Mr Tsang then met the Governor of Heilongjiang, Mr Li Zhanshu, and exchanged views on further co-operation in various aspects between the province and Hong Kong.
The delegation attended a networking lunch before departing for Changchun in Jilin Province. Soon after arrival, the delegation had a meeting with senior officials of the Jilin Provincial Government which was followed by a welcome dinner.
