Roving exhibitions promote healthy exercise for all during Olympics (with photo)
***********************************************************

During the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD) and the Department of Health are holding "Healthy Exercise for All Campaign Roving Exhibitions 08/09" in various shopping centres, promoting "sport for all" and heightening public awareness that health can benefit from regular exercise.

With "Doing Exercise Welcoming Olympics" as the theme, the exhibitions feature panels displaying the Fuwa Olympic mascots and various games for visitors to learn more about the sports of the Beijing Olympic Games and the relationship between exercise and health.

In addition to exhibitions, there are demonstrations, physical fitness tests and other activities at designated centres, which aim to promote various sports, including Latin dance, table tennis, shuttlecock and taekwondo.

The first exhibition was held at Olympian City 2 last Saturday and the second will be at New Town Plaza Phase III in Sha Tin this Sunday (July 20). Admission is free.

The remaining five will be held at other shopping centres on designated weekends from 11am to 5pm between July 27 and August 17 (see Appendix).
