The Government today (July 18) announced the re-appointment of two incumbent members, Professor Jean Woo and Dr John Wong Yee-him, to the Elderly Commission. The appointments will take effect from July 30 for a term of eight months.
The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, welcomed the re-appointments, adding that he looked forward to their continued contributions to the development of elderly services in Hong Kong.
Mr Cheung also thanked two outgoing members, Dr Susie Lum Shun-sui and Ms Anita Wong Yiu-ming, for their valuable contributions during their tenure.
