Vice-President Xi Jinping, accompanied by Chief Executive Mr Donald Tsang, visited an elderly couple in Ho Man Tin in the second family visit today (July 7).
Mr Yu Do-sing and Mrs Yu, both in their 70s, are retirees and live in a Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) flat in Kwun Hei Court, Ho Man Tin. Mr Yu Chi-hung, the eldest of their six children, frequently visits his parents with his wife and their four-year-old daughter. They were also there today to welcome the Vice-President.
During the visit, the Vice-President asked about their daily life, the living environment, prices of HOS flats, the community services available and law and order in the district.
The couple took out their photo album and shared their family photographs with the Vice-President, who presented an Olympic souvenir tea-set and a laptop computer to the family before departure.
On leaving the estate, the Vice-President shook hands with residents and took the opportunity to mingle with the local community.
