***************************************************

Police are investigating a traffic accident in Central this afternoon (June 29) in which a 13-year-old girl was killed and 32 people were injured.

About 4.15pm, a coach driven by a 33-year-old man was travelling downhill Garden Road.     The girl was certified dead at the scene by ambulancemen, while 14 men and 18 women, aged between 13 and 87, were injured and sent to Queen Mary Hospital, Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital and Ruttonjee Hospital.

The 33-year-old coach driver, who was also injured, was later arrested for dangerous driving causing death and is now being detained for further enquiries.
