The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (June 26) obtained one order for payment of outstanding MPF contributions of about $90,000 against an employer in the District Court.
The District Court today issued judgment against one employer, Europe-North Dry-Cleaning/Laundry (2002) Limited. The defendant was ordered to pay the MPFA the sum of $92,045.64, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to two employees of the defendant.
The amount awarded will be reimbursed to the employees' MPF accounts as soon as it is received by the MPFA. The District Court ordered the defendant to pay costs of $930.
