At 8 am today (June 25), Severe Tropical Storm Fengshen was centred about 50 kilometres north of Hong Kong Observatory.  The No. 8 Southwest Gale or Storm Signal is in force.  Yellow Rainstorm warning was issued at 5.15 am and was replaced by Red Rainstorm warning at 6 am. Northern New Territories Flooding Warning was issued at 6.35 am.  Landslip warning was issued at 8.10 am. No major incidents have been reported so far.

The Education Bureau announced that classes of all schools are suspended today and the Territory-wide Assessment at Secondary Three Level scheduled for this morning will be postponed to June 26. If the Hong Kong Observatory replaces the Tropical Cyclone Signal No.8 with Signal No.3 by 10.30 am, bisessional PM primary schools and evening schools will resume today.

The Judiciary announced that all courts, tribunals, court registries and offices would be closed this morning. 

The Immigration Department announced that services at the Immigration Headquarters and all Branch Offices, Registration of Persons Offices, Births, Deaths and Marriage Registries were temporarily suspended until further notice. 

The operation of some land transportation services was once disrupted under the storm.  All Kowloon Motor Bus services had resumed limited service with effect from 8 am.  Bus services of other operators had been remaining on limited service.  All ferry services remained suspended. All tram services were suspended.  All lines of Mass Transit Railway except Light Rail had resumed normal operation from 8.30 am. 

The Marine Department announced that the China Ferry Terminal has closed down.

As at 8 am, there were nine floodings at various locations.  There was no report of landslide incident. 

Home Affairs Department has opened 22 temporary shelters and up to 8 am, 117 people have sought refuge at the shelters.
