Following is the transcript of remarks by the Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, at a meet-the-media session after visiting Y.W.C.A Hioe Tjo Yoeng College in Ho Man Tin today (June 24):
Reporter: Would the government be responsible for the death of the sturgeon?
Chief Executive: I am sure that Ocean Park, during the press conference, will explain the circumstances surrounding the death of this fish. I am very grateful to the Central Government for giving us a replacement fish. This is the first time we are taking a sturgeon in our environment. We have world-class professionals at Ocean Park and I am sure they will give us a satisfactory answer. Most important, they must give us an assurance in future that the five precious fish will be well protected and will be made available for public inspection and public pleasure.
