The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will lead a government delegation from June 27 to 29 to visit the Sichuan disaster areas and discuss with the Sichuan authorities the mechanism and arrangements for Hong Kong to participate in the reconstruction work.
Members of the delegation include the Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Stephen Lam, the Secretary for Development, Mrs Carrie Lam, Director of the Chief Executive's Office, Mr Norman Chan, Permanent Secretary for Constitutional and Mainland Affairs, Mr Joshua Law, and Permanent Secretary for Development (Works), Mr Mak Chai-kwong.
During Mr Tsang's absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will be Acting Chief Executive.
