The Town Planning Board today (June 13) announced amendments to the approved Tseung Kwan O Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
In Tiu Keng Leng, an area to the east and south of Ocean Shores has been rezoned to "Open Space" ("O"), "Government, Institution or Community (4)" ("G/IC(4)"), "Green Belt" (ˇ§GBˇ¨), "Other Specified Uses" ("OU") annotated "Toll Plaza, Ventilation Building and Associated Facilities" and area shown as 'Road'. In the Town Centre South area south of Po Yap Road, an area has been rezoned to "Residential (Group A)2" ("R(A)2") , "R(A)3", "R(A)4", "R(A)5", "R(A)6", "G/IC(1)", "G/IC(3)", "G/IC(4)", "G/IC(5)", "O", "OU" annotated "Landing Steps", "OU" annotated "Underground Desilting Compound" and area shown as 'Road'.
The area covering the Tseung Kwan O Stage 1 Landfill, the Eastern Channel and Area 47 has been rezoned to "Recreation" ("REC"), "OU" annotated "Sports and Recreation Club", "G/IC(5)", "G/IC(6)", "O", "GB" and areas shown as 'Road' and 'Sea'. An area in Pak Shing Kok has been rezoned to "Residential (Group C)2" ("R(C)2"), "R(C)3", "R(C)4", "G/IC(4)", "G/IC(5)", "GB" and area shown as 'Road'.
Other main amendments include incorporating new development restrictions for "REC" and "OU" annotated "Sports and Recreation Club", and various sub-areas of "R(A)", "R(C)" and "G/IC", and making corresponding technical amendments to the Notes of the OZP.
The draft Tseung Kwan O OZP No S/TKO/16 incorporating amendments is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters at North Point and Sha Tin Government Offices, the Sai Kung and Islands District Planning Office, the Sai Kung District Office.
Any person may make written representations in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before August 13, 2008. Representations made to the board will be available for public inspection.
