OFTA Annoucement on telephone services in Tai O

The Office of the Telecommunications Authority (OFTA) issued the following announcement today (8 June 2008):
"The fibre links conncecting Tai O have been repaired. The fixed services in the Tai O area have resumed normal, while mobile services have been gradually resuming normal from around noon today. It is expected the services will all be back to normal by this late evening. We will maintain close contact with all operators concerned to ensure that services will be fully recovered and brought back to normal as soon as possible."
