The Mandatory Provident Fund Schemes Authority (MPFA) today (June 5) obtained an order in the District Court against an employer for payment of outstanding MPF contributions of about $57,000.
The court issued judgment against Painting International Beauty (Central) Limited which was ordered to pay the MPFA $57,465.56, being mandatory contributions in arrears and surcharges payable to 17 employees of the defendant.
The amount awarded will be reimbursed to the employees¡¦ MPF accounts as soon as it is received by the MPFA. The court ordered the defendant to pay costs of $930.
