Appointment to Hong Kong Tourism Board

The Government today (May 30) announced the re-appointment of the Commissioner for Tourism as a member and Deputy Chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) from June 1, 2008, to October 31, 2010.
The Hong Kong Tourism Board Ordinance provides that the HKTB shall consist of 20 members, coming from a wide spectrum of tourism and related sectors including passenger carriers, hotels, licensed travel agents, tour operators, retail as well as restaurants. Members are appointed by the Financial Secretary under the delegated authority from the Chief Executive.
