The Government today (May 30) published a notice in the Gazette on the construction of a link road between Tin Fuk Road and Tsui Sing Road, Tin Shui Wai, to replace the existing temporary road for public access.
The proposed works include constructing a link road with associated footpaths and cycle track between Tin Fuk Road and Tsui Sing Road; permanent closure of the existing temporary road and modifying the junction at Tin Fuk Road and the existing temporary road upon completion and opening of the proposed link road; permanent or temporary closure of sections of the existing cycle track and footpaths; and ancillary works, such as construction or modification of traffic signals, crossing facilities and street lighting.
The work will begin in late 2008 and take about one year to complete.
The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:
(i) Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;
(ii) Yuen Long District Office, Ground Floor, Yuen Long District Office Building, 269 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long; and
(iii) Yuen Long District Lands Office, 9th-11th floors, Yuen Long Government Offices, 2 Kiu Lok Square, Yuen Long.
Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before July 29.
