Organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (LCSD), the fair provides a platform for arts practitioners to show their works and share their creativity with visitors.

Painters, calligraphers, photographers and various craftspeople are invited to submit applications for stalls. The deadline for application is June 13, 2008. Details of the fair are as follows:

1) Live Photography Service Stalls

Stalls normally operate daily from 10.30am to 10.30pm but must open daily from 8pm to 10pm to offer visitors photo-taking service against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour at night. Successful applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $5,200.

2) Live Painting/Portrait/Sketching/Silhouette Cutting/Calligraphy Service Stalls

Stalls normally operate daily from 10.30am to 10.30pm but must open from 2pm to 7pm on Sundays and selected public holidays. Successful applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $3,900.

3) Stalls selling Arts and Crafts made by the Applicants

Stalls normally operate from noon to 7pm on Sundays and selected public holidays. Successful applicants will be required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of $2,600.

Applications for Live Photography Service Stalls are accepted only from individuals, while the other two types of service stalls are open to both individuals and organisations.

Organisation applications are restricted to subvented non-governmental social service organisations, or certified student societies/organisations of registered Fine Arts/Design institutes/faculties.

Applications will be assessed by the Assessment Panel of the fair in accordance with the artistic quality, creativity, uniqueness and attractiveness of the products and services provided. If qualified applications exceed the available number of stalls, selection will be made by drawing lots.

Application forms are available at the HKCC Enquiries Counter and can also be downloaded from the website: www.hkculturalcentre.gov.hk.
