Flags at half mast

A government spokesman announced today (May 18):
"To express our deep condolences to those who died in the serious earthquake in Wenchuan, Sichuan, flags on all government buildings and schools in the Hong Kong SAR will be flown at half mast from tomorrow (May 19) to Wednesday (May 21).
All government officials will observe a three-minute silence in mourning from 2.28pm tomorrow.
The Chief Executive Mr Donald Tsang also calls on various sectors of the community to follow the national mourning if circumstances allowed."
