Widening of Tin Ha Road and Tan Kwai Tsuen Road gazetted

    The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (May 16) on the execution of road improvement works for sections of Tin Ha Road and Tan Kwai Tsuen Road in Yuen Long to serve the anticipated traffic demand in the area.

    The proposed works include widening of sections of the existing carriageways on Tin Ha Road between Ping Ha Road and San Lee Uk Tsuen and on Tan Kwai Tsuen Road with associated modification of the existing footpaths and cycle tracks; temporary or permanent closure, reconstruction or demolition of sections of the existing carriageways, footpaths and cycle tracks; other ancillary works including landscaping, drainage and utilities works, and erection of noise barriers.

    The plans and scheme of the project are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

(i)  Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;

(ii)  Yuen Long District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Yuen Long District Office Building, 269 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long; and

(iii)  Yuen Long District Lands Office, 9th-11th floors, Yuen Long Government Offices, 2 Kiu Lok Square, Yuen Long.

    Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before July 15.
