China Post Logistics Co. Ltd. and Hongkong Post Partnering for Logistics Service Provision in Greater China (with photos)

    The  Postmaster General of Hongkong Post, Mr Tam Wing-pong today (April 18) announced the opening of the Hongkong Post Logistics Centre (Tuen Mun), which will provide warehousing and logistics service for the clients of China Post Logistics Co. Ltd.. The Vice President of China Post Group, Mr Liu Mingguang, and the Deputy General Manager of China Post Logistics Co. Ltd., Mr Li Kai, were invited as the guests of honor at the opening ceremony, which symbolises the important milestone in the logistics collaboration between Hongkong Post and China Post Logistics Co. Ltd. in providing one-stop logistics solution in Greater China.

    Mr Liu said, "China Post Logistics Co. Ltd. was established as a professional 3PL service provider by China Post Group in January, 2003, with registered capital of RMB 370 millions. With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for Closer Business Co-operation between Hongkong Post and China Post Group in January 2007, we have fostered stronger collaboration in the logistics service by positioning Hongkong Post as the local logistics service arm and sales agent in Hong Kong when bidding for integrated logistics tender for Greater China Region and meeting growing market demand for cross border logistics service."

    Mr Tam added, "Logistics service is one of new revenue streams of Hongkong Post and we are delighted to team up with China Post Logistics Co. Ltd. in expanding the service potential. With the high standard warehousing facility and dedicated warehousing expertise we have in the new Logistics Centre and the extensive logistics network and experience of China Post Logistics Co. Ltd. on the Mainland, we are confident to provide a hassle-free integrated postal and commercial solution to the logistics clients in Greater China."

    Mr Li said, "In our logistics collaboration framework, we provide the knowledge gained from existing logistics operation and well-developed Warehousing Management System whilst Hongkong Post performs the actual operation with their local expertise and extensive delivery network. We believe it would be a WIN-WIN-WIN scenario for our Company, Hongkong Post and our customers using the new Logistics Centre."

    Mr Tam finally elaborated, "The establishment of the new Logistics Centre totally demonstrates our value to excel through development and our mission of proactively responding to changing market requirement.  We look forward to future cooperation opportunities with China Post Logistics Co. Ltd. in different areas such as transshipping their logistics items from Mainland to overseas destinations using our infrastructure."
