CE to attend Boao Forum annual conference

    The Chief Executive, Mr Donald Tsang, will leave for Hainan Province on Friday (April 11) to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2008.

    The theme of the conference is "Green Asia: Moving Towards Win-Win Through Changes".

    Mr Tsang will host a reception for the Hong Kong business delegates attending the conference upon his arrival at Boao. He will attend the opening ceremony of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2008 on the following day (April 12), address a luncheon and join a welcome dinner of the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2008 on the same day.

    Government officials accompanying Mr Tsang at the conference include the Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Affairs, Guangdong, Mr Peter Leung; the Private Secretary to the Chief Executive, Mr Kenneth Mak; the Information Co-ordinator, Mr Andy Ho; and the Senior Special Assistant to the Chief Executive, Mr Chan Kin-ping. 

    Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on April 13. During Mr Tsang's absence, the Financial Secretary, Mr John Tsang, will be the Acting Chief Executive on April 11 until the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, returns to Hong Kong from Beijing on the same day.  Mr Tang will then be the Acting Chief Executive until Mr Tsang returns to Hong Kong.
