Supply of Thai rice in Hong Kong

In response to media enquiries regarding the supply of Thai rice in Hong Kong, a spokesman for the Trade and Industry Department today (April 3) gave the following reply:
The department has been in communication with the Royal Thai Consulate-General (Hong Kong) in the past few days. According to the information provided by the Consulate-General, rice production and supply in Thailand is normal. Further, up to now, the Thai Government does not have any plan to impose export quotas on rice.
