Ballots Drawn for Surplus HOS Flats (with photo)

The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:

    Ballots were drawn for the sale of Surplus Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats Phase 3 today (March 18) to determine applicants' priority in flat selection.

    The Chairman of the Housing Authority's Subsidised Housing Committee, Professor Anthony Cheung Bing-leung, officiated at the ballot drawing.

    During the application period from February 28 to March 12, 24,878 applications were received, of which 19,127 were White Forms (WF) and 5,751 were Green Forms (GF).

    The authority offers 3,052 flats for sale in the current sales exercise, including 2,397 unsold flats in Tung Tao Court Stage I in Shau Kei Wan, Lei On Court in Lam Tin and Kam Fung Court in Ma On Shan; as well as 655 resale flats in various courts throughout the territory. In addition to these flats, applicants can also choose from the 579 flats at Kingston Terrace in Tuen Mun and three resale flats at Verbena Heights in Tseung Kwan O developed by the Hong Kong Housing Society.

    Notifications for flat selection, along with the sales brochures, price list and other relevant information, will be sent to eligible applicants in batches according to ballot results. Starting from tomorrow (March 19), applicants may go to the Housing Authority Customer Service Centre to make an appointment to view the returned flats designated by the authority at Charming Garden in Mong Kok, Lai Yan Court in Lai Chi Kok and Ning Fung Court in Kwai Chung. The viewing period will last for one month from Thursday (March 20) to April 20. The on-site show flats in Tung Tao Court, Lei On Court and Kam Fung Court will be re-opened about one week before flat selection.

    The ballot results (please refer to attached file) and the priority list of the applicants will be available from tomorrow on the Housing Authority/Housing Department website (www.housingauthority.gov.hk). They will also be posted at the authority's Customer Service Centre in Lok Fu, all public housing estate offices and Public Enquiry Service Centres of the Home Affairs Department for public inspection. Applicants may also call the Housing Authority Sales Hotline 2712 8000 for any enquiries.
