Upon the invitation of the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, Dr Lee Boon Yang, the Secretary for Home Affairs, Mr Tsang Tak-sing, will leave for Singapore this afternoon (March 16) to see Singapore's arts and culture, sports, recreation and community developments.
During the visit, Mr Tsang will call on Dr Lee Boon Yang to exchange views on cultural exchanges between the two places. He will also have a lunch meeting with the Minister for Community Development, Youth and Sports, Dr Vivian Balakrishnan.
Mr Tsang will visit a number of arts, cultural and sports facilities including the School of the Arts, Singapore Sports School, the National Museum and the Esplanade.
He will also visit Singapore's local community and meet with district personalities.
Mr Tsang will return to Hong Kong on Wednesday (March 19).
