Immigration staff commended for outstanding performances (with photo)

    Three Immigration Department officers have been awarded the Director's Commendation for outstanding performance. Another seven officers have been awarded the Assistant Directors' commendation at a presentation ceremony at the department's headquarters today (February 22).

    Among the three officers awarded the Director's Commendation, Acting Chief Immigration Officer, Mr Chow Wing-hei; Acting Senior Immigration Officer, Ms Becky Chau Wai-yee, and Immigration Officer, Mr Sidney Chan, were commended for their professionalism in planning work that was instrumental to the successful inauguration of the Shenzhen Bay Control Point on July 1, 2007.

    Director of Immigration, Mr Lai Tung-kwok, congratulated all award recipients and praised them for their exemplary performance. Mr Lai said he believed that officers would continue to demonstrate their esprit de corps in facing the challenges ahead and strive for continuous improvement in services provided to the public.
