Man charged with dangerous driving causing death

Police today (February 22) charged a 46-year-old male driver with one count of dangerous driving causing death.
The accident occurred at about 7.20am today when the medium goods vehicle driven by the man was travelling on Kansu Street towards Yau Ma Tei. It hit a 74-year-old man who was crossing the street near Canton Road. The old man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital and died later.
The driver will appear at Eastern Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (February 23).
