Wan Chai No.3 Alarm Fire Roundup

A tin-sheeted structure about 10 x 15 metres on the rooftop, a domestic unit on 10/F and a domestic unit on 11/F of a building at Leighton Road, Wan Chai, were damaged in a No. 3 alarm fire yesterday (February 21).
The fire broke out at Yee Hing Mansion at 13-19 Leighton Road at 6.54pm yesterday and was upgraded to No.3 alarm at 7.27pm. The fire was put out at 8.49pm. Firemen used four jets and four breathing apparatus teams to fight the blaze.
Three males were sent to hospital for smoke inhalation. 54 occupants were led to a place of safety.
No suspicious circumstances were detected about the cause of the fire.
