A spokesperson of Castle Peak Hospital (CPH) made the following announcement today (February 12):
Three male patients (aged 33 to 60) in a long-stay ward of CPH have had vomit and diarrhoea symptoms since February 9. Appropriate tests were arranged for these patients and two of them are positive to Norovirus. The patients have been transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital for treatment under isolation and are in stable condition.
Infection control measures of the ward concerned have already been stepped up. Admission to the ward has been suspended while all patients are under close medical surveillance.
The cases have been reported to the Hospital Authority and the Centre for Health Protection for necessary follow-up.
