The launching of online comments on plan-making and planning applications will improve the system of providing comments to the Town Planning Board under the Town Planning Ordinance.
The service, which begins today (February 12), provides an additional means to make statutory comments to the board. At the moment, people can submit their comments in person, by post, fax or by email.
With the online service, people have a convenient channel to present their comments on planning applications and submissions in relation to the plan-making process.
The procedures for making online comments are simple and user-friendly. For each case, there will be a link on the board's website at www.info.gov.hk/tpb during the relevant period. Any person can click on the link and input comments on the case.
At the same time, the secretariat of the board has also revamped the structure of the Town Planning Board website to enable more efficient searches for information.
