Development of a beach at Lung Mei

    The Government intends to construct a bathing beach at the foreshore and sea-bed of Lung Mei, Tai Po to provide land for a beach facility in the east region of the New Territories.

    The work, which will affect an area of approximately 56,360 square metres of foreshore and sea-bed at Lung Mei, Tai Po, is scheduled to begin in early 2009 and to be completed by early 2011.

    A notice describing the extent of the area affected is published in the Government Gazette today (February 6).

    The notice and its related plan can be seen on notice boards posted near the site.  The plan can also be seen at the Lands Department Survey and Mapping Office, 23rd Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point and at the Tai Po District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Ground Floor, Tai Po Government Offices Building, 1 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po.

    Any person who has an interest, right or easement in or over the foreshore and sea-bed involved may submit a written objection to the Director of Lands, 20th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point by April 6.
