Improvement works for Ting Kok Road gazetted

    The Government published a notice in the Gazette today (February 6) on road improvement works for a section of Ting Kok Road.

    The proposed works include widening of a section of Ting Kok Road to a single two-way three-lane carriageway and reprovisioning of some sections of the existing footpath, relocation of a bus stop and construction of a fee-paying public car park on the southern side of the widened Ting Kok Road; and ancillary works such as water, drainage, sewerage works and construction of safety islands. They aim to ensure traffic safety and serve the anticipated traffic demand from the development of a bathing beach at Lung Mei, Tai Po.

    The plan and scheme of the works are available for public inspection at the following government offices during office hours:

(i)  Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central;

(ii)  Tai Po District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Ground Floor, Tai Po Government Offices Building, 1 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po ; and

(iii) District Lands Office, Tai Po, 1st Floor, Tai Po Government Offices Building, 1 Ting Kok Road, Tai Po.

    Any person who wishes to object to the proposed works or the use, or both, should write to the Secretary for Transport and Housing, 16th floor, Murray Building, Garden Road, Hong Kong, on or before April 6.
