The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department today (February 5) reminded people that the Hong Kong Wetland Park would close on the first and second day of the Chinese New Year (February 7 and 8), but would open on February 9.
A department spokesman reminded visitors to observe the following rules to conserve the environment in the park:
* To avoid stressing birds and other wildlife, don't dress in bright colours;
* Keep quiet, don't shout or run in the park;
* Keep the air clean and don't smoke;
* No littering. Put litter into litter bins or take it with you;
* Don't pick or damage plants;
* Don't disturb or catch animals;
* Help to protect the exhibits and don't damage them; and
* Don't touch wild birds, their feathers or droppings. Wash hands after the visit.
