The Leisure and Cultural Services Department has announced that the outdoor heated main pool at the Fanling Swimming Pool, the only pool at the venue open to the public, has been temporarily closed for cleaning and superchlorination following the discovery of a small amount of faeces this morning (January 29).
Since today is the weekly cleaning day of Fanling Swimming Pool, cleaning will be conducted until 7pm today when the venue will be reopened to the public.
The department appeals to swimmers to be considerate and to keep swimming pools clean. They are advised not to swim after a full meal and should use the toilet facilities, if necessary, before swimming.
