The Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Henry Tang, will leave for Tokyo next Monday (January 21) for a duty visit.
Mr Tang will call on principal Cabinet members of the Japanese Government and meet business leaders and media representatives to brief them on Hong Kong's latest developments. He will also visit cultural institutions and arts facilities in Tokyo Midtown.
During the visit, Mr Tang will call on the Chinese Ambassador to Japan. He will also speak at a Lunar year-end luncheon organised by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in Tokyo.
Mr Tang will return to Hong Kong on January 24. During his absence, the Secretary for Education, Mr Michael Suen, will be the Acting Chief Secretary for Administration.
