Arts Corner to be launched at Hong Kong Park
********************************************

A new round of the Arts Corner will be launched at Hong Kong Park tomorrow (January 1) and people are welcome to visit from noon to 6pm on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Admission is free.

Organised by Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Arts Corners aim to make parks more appealing to park-goers and create a relaxed atmosphere for art appreciation.

In the eighth phase of the Arts Corner at Hong Kong Park, there will be 10 stalls set up at the outdoor area near the Museum of Teaware for selling handicrafts and artworks such as pottery, paper craftworks, accessories, cloth artworks and clay works. Services to be provided by arts service stalls include painting, calligraphy, sketching or caricaturing.

Similar events are being held in three other venues. The Arts Corner at Victoria Park is staged from 10am to 6pm on Sundays and public holidays until February 24, 2008, and the Arts Fun Fair at Kowloon Park and Lai Chi Kok Park (Stage III) will run until May 25, 2008, and September 28, 2008, respectively. They are held from 1pm to 7pm on Sundays and public holidays.
