Land to be resumed for drainage improvement works in Yuen Long

The Government will resume 83 private agricultural lots with a total area of about 15,468 square metres in the vicinity of Cheung Po, Ma On Kong, Yuen Kong San Tsuen and Tin Sam Tsuen, Yuen Long, to make way for drainage improvement works to alleviate the flooding problem there.
A notice for the land resumption was published in the Gazette today (December 21).
The project is scheduled to begin in January 2008 for completion in January 2011.
